Com.Godavari Shamrao Parulekar Arts, Commerce & Science College Library was established in the year 1996 , Dr.Arjun Hon the founder librarian of this library. From 1996 till date library collection has been developed as per the academic and research needs of the students and faculty. Every year a duly constituted Library committee is established under the chairmanship of Hon Principal for book selection and policy decision making about the library.
Taking into consideration the academic and research needs of the students and staff library services are available to the users from 09.00 am to 05.00pm from Mon to Sat.
Reading Room:
Reading Room of the library is open for serious study by the students and teachers from 08.30 am to 05.00 pm. We subscribe to 12 Journals and periodicals in the library of academic research and even general interest of students and teachers. We subscribe to 06 Newspapers in the library.
Circulation:
As per the time table of students & Teachers issue hours of the library are as follows
Senior College : 10 am to 1.00 pm
Text books as well as books of general interest are issued to the students form library
Research Facilities
We welcome research queries from our faculty as well as faculty from other institutes. We put all our efforts to provide pinpointed exhaustive and expeditious service to the research students through our reference collection as well as through Internet.
Reprographic Services
Recently we have purchased a new Photocopying machine in the library and Photocopying facility is made available to the students at nominal charges.
Automation-
We are in a process of complete automation of library services; we have purchased a new library software package SOUL 2.0 for automation of library. Library is fully computerized. Circulation of books is done through fully computerized system. Barcoding of library books is also completed Database of books up to Acc No 17758 is already entered in to the system. New books purchased are entered in to the LMS system. Student’s database has also been created in to the system and from next academic session we are planning to distribute Digital Library Cards to the students.

Student Library committee is also there and it includes two student each of different branches from final year student. The recommendations and suggestions of students are given due consideration in college library committee meeting.
Library Committee meets twice in a year on regular basis and as per the requirement to discuss any other important matter.
